Grove Squash Club is a well run, committed and ambitious Bronze Charter Club. We aim to be not only an excellent squash club but also a social and friendly place for people to play the sport they love.
If you already play squash but are not in a club then come along and reap the benefits of playing in our internal ladders, club competitions, enrol for training. You can even come to one of our club nights to get a flavour of it for yourself!  So if you play or are thinking about taking the game, up come along on club night and give it a go.

Chris Gibbons beat Bob Warren 3-0 in the Closed Final and Barry Saye defeated Robert Sutton in the Plate Final.

4th Team Get through to County Cup final

The mens 4th team have got through to the Final of their County Cup after a thrilling victory against Trent Bridge. Andrew Appleby’s victory against an opponent who had beaten him twice already this season ensured the will be playing against the University Staff at the Park on 8th May. They could be joined by the 2nd team who play the semi-final of their cup next week. All supporters are welcome and more details can be obtained from Paul Drury.

 

Attention

All over 16 would-be squash players or beginners wanting to improve. Dean Drury, Level 2 Professional Coach, is planning to run a 6 week course on Thursday evenings at a cost of only £2 per session. Please ring Dean on 07897 443539 for further information.

Ladies Coaching

A weekly session to start at 5.40pm on Thursday 25th March. This will be aimed at beginners, emphasis on learning squash to be able to play games but also to keep fit and active. Cost of £2.00 to cover the court fees, each session will last 40 minutes. Contact Dean Drury 07897443539 for more details.

 

Teenager Social

For boys and girls that are 14+ who want to play in a social but competitive environment, the emphasis will not be on formal coaching but competitive matches and fitness work i.e. circuit training etc. To be held weekly commencing Thursday 18th March 4.20pm lasting for 40 minutes.
